Samsung has declared that its iPad 2 release may compel the company to think again over its Galaxy Tab 10.1 tactic. As it seems that the new Apple handset aggressive pricing and slim design has taken the Korean giant by surprise.
Reconsidering the Galaxy 10.1′s 10.9mm thick frame, which is more than two millimeters thicker than the iPad 2, Lee said “We will have to advance the fraction that are poor,” noting that ”Apple made it very thin.”
Samsung’s price tactic may also be affected, according to Lee. Referring to the planned price hike over the lesser and a bit unpowerful Galaxy Tab, he said: “The 10-inch (tablet) is pricier than the 7-inch but we will have to think that over.”
While some have been disappointed at the iPad 2′s lack of main advance over the first iPad, it seems Apple has managed to known at its “copycat” rivals in exactly the right mark.
